So I was out exploring, and then decided to dig a sand block and start just farming sand. I dig ONE sand, and then I fall down to the lowest layer and lose everything. I didn't have F3 on so I couldn't see where I was to try to get my stuff back. The following is what I had on me to the best of my memory.

21x gb

10x iron ore

5x coal

2x Full health stone pickaxe and 1x half health pickaxe

1x 1/2 health diamond shovel

5 stacks of smoothstone

96x glass

64x cobble

58x glowstone

probably a flower or some random thing too.

This also coincidentally happened during a saving world data, but I am 99.9% sure that the 1x1 hole all the way down to bedrock isn't a glitch.

I am only putting this because it is against the rules to dig a 1x1 chart, so hoping for a refund. However, I understand if you can't do so since I don't remember the location where I died (again, I didn't have F3 open so I couldn't see the xyz)

I had other stuff I can't remember, but if I can't remember it then it probably means I don't need a refund for those.

If it was sand, how didnt it fall?

I don't know, but I broke one sand block, and a lot of sand around me fell and I fell down too. I think maybe someone took advantage of the sand glitch, of how sand sometimes floats when the world was created? Ahh I understand, sorry for that happening.

This was probably from a desert being generated above a chasm. it happens from time to time and you just got unlucky. This wasn't by a player it was from map generation.

Okay, that is fine. Thank you Cryston. Like I said, didn't really care for a refund after I just scored whilst mining after I posted this originally. Made all the gold back, and finally got some needed supplies for my projects. why doesn't anyone ever fall into a glitch and die when they DONT have diamonds or gold?

It was only 21 gb, not very much.

duns, that's happened to me a bunch of times.

"Diggin' the hole" in sand can be scary, but it's also kinda fun!
