[Enjin Archive] Mod Application Requirement
Started by Unknown User

I would like to see some requirements in the moderator application threads. Like, you need so so many posts before applying, you need so so many votes. Lieing will make it way harder to be a moderator. Stuff like that.. I just want it to be someway to regulate the application thread.

Every new member, after being accepted, posts there to be a mod. Most of them copy and past other peoples applications, ie about their ages, firends, and then they joined. I remember someone copying DresISgod's application..

If we had some requirements for applying there, i think it would help regulate all the applications.

Please vote and leave a comment why you chose what.

And if you agree, a thumbs up would be appreciated.
Edit:

I suggest the following requirements:

You have to have been on the server for atleast 3 months

You have to have atleast 60-70 votes.

You have to have atleast 300+ posts

I also suggest that if a new application is filed,

and the requirements were not met/he was lieing, that it would be deleted.

This sounds good, I remember one kid asking for mod rank saying he had been on the server for five months when his profile told us he had joined two days ago <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f61b.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":p">:p</object> I think you should have played for at least 6 months and possibly have a certain number of up votes (sucks for me I only have down votes).

I agree that there should be some requirements that you should meet before even thinking of posting a moderator application.

However, I don't know about X amount of posts, X amount of likes.

They're so vague, meaningless...

I don't have any 'better' ideas myself though <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f600.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":d">:d</object>

Good poll. Certainly agree with you.
Doesn't that staff pick mods depending on they're application and they're likes? I would assume so.

Lol I don't think anyone is becoming a mod anytime soon anyway.
I agree some small requirements need to be put in place. New people get upset when they do a mod application and everyone dislikes it <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/2639.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":(">:(</object>

Hey,

Even if the current system have no requirement, doesn't mean we are total nitwits, we use common sense and approve the people that we judge fit for the position after we get to know them.

Those requirements are good, but at the same time... we would never recruit those 10yo who joined 2 hours before making their application...

And, the numbers of likes matter, but not that much. It simply gives us an idea of how's the person liked over the community.

And it's not because you are popular or liked that it means you will be a better mod. BUT yes, we do still consider those "likes" because after all they still mean something, I'm just saying that they don't mean everything about one person.

Yeah and what if someone also doesn't meet the requirements but would make a great mod? Like Sawine practically said, they can put an application in whenever they want, and when it's actually looked into is decided by the staff. The staff get to be as stereotypical an nitpicky as they want, they are the ones running the server.
