[Enjin Archive] Event Idea: Treasure hunt
Started by [E] pennepasta

You have me in your pocket pennepasta.

I have built a very small treasure trail at /warp treasurestart. It was originally leading to my vault, which I am tearing down atm.

It's in no way finished or actually suitable for an event, since it needs a lot of tweaking and improvement. Let's say, it's not something I am 'proud' of. I can surely do better than that <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f61b.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":p">:p</object>

Anyhow, you can all check it out if you want to <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f61b.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":p">:p</object> It doesn't function quite as good as I wanted since not everything's protected and some traps are obvious. Plus, if someone took the lava bridge before you, it will probably still be there, granting you easy access to the other side. If you follow the trail, you'll end up in a room with a hole in the center and a hole in the ceiling. There used to be a water flow there leading to my vault.

Since there's no real reward at the end, I'll explain the route and how it's supposed to happen in a

/warp treasurestart -

Jump off the ledge into the water -

There's a hole in the soil of the lake -

Dive down all the way (you might want to bring a pumpkin and place it on your head as a helm since it allows you to breathe underwater) -

You'll end up in a corridor with some glowstone -

Go through the corridor until you find two one-way doors (watch out for the pit in the floor on your way there) -

The door on the right is a dead end, if you go in there and the door slams shut behind you, you're stuck. The door on the left is the door you need to take. -

Follow the corridor until you find a long small corridor with lava at the bottom. Jump over the two blocks wide gap. -

To get across the long trench of lava and reach the other side safely, you need to turn left and do some easy jumps. At the end of those jumps, there's a lever, pull it. A 'bridge' should now have opened over the lava trench. -

Cross the bridge and find four one-way doors. -

The door to the right is a trap. If you go in there, you'll most likely run over a pressure pad which will de-activate a piston resulting in your way back being blocked by lava. The door on the left is connected with the door which is second if you start counting from the right. If you take either of these 2 doors, you end up being stuck. The second door starting on the left is the correct door. -

Go up the ladder and find yourself a long 'empty' corridor. -

You'll notice that the corridor isn't exactly empty, but filled with cobwebs slowing you down. There's no way to avoid these. They're there to annoy you. -

At the end of the corridor you'll see another one-way door in front of you. It's a dead end with a gap somewhere in the middle. If you take it, you end up getting stuck. -

However, there's a door just around the corner, this is the correct door. -

When you follow the corridor you might think it's another dead end with a gap. There's a ladder leading down however. Use it. -

Find you way through the chaos of bedrock until you find another corridor with a door at the end. -

When you go through the door, you'll end up in the room I described. Gap in the floor and ceiling. Used to be water here, allowing you to go up and enter my what-once-was vault. Congratulations.

I colored and spiced it up a little so it's easier to use.

Why am I making this post again?

Oh yeah.

I'd really want to help out! <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f600.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":d">:d</object>

Landr0.
Ok, thanks guys <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f600.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":d">:d</object>

I'm just trying to come up with ideas to attrackt people to the server and stuffs <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f600.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":d">:d</object>

I would appreciate any help <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f600.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":d">:d</object>
I would appreciate some admin help because it would take months to build this by hand <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f600.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":d">:d</object>
Any mods or admins who wish to help?
i can help make some easy traps with pistons if needed (has to be a 1 wide tunnel though aint that pro with redstone)
I'm curious as to where we build this?
well, we can start near my house as though no one is around for like 500 or more blocks, lets do it there if your fine with that
Thats fine. I was thinking we could start above ground and work to bed rock.
YEAH lets go!
I could make some pretty cool redstone circuits for this. I don't think of myself as a pro but I am pretty good. You could have hidden arrow traps, a trap that drops you down a level or into a pit, or even using a spawner to drop pigs on you <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f61b.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":p">:p</object>
