[Enjin Archive] Roads in East9k

East9k warp has changed if you haven't noticed. There is now a road that goes to the edge of the map. Mine track has only made it 1/4 the way so far, until I have more gold. I'm going to do a test minecart station to ant's compound, then more will be added if we don't lag--test should be ready this week. I plan a system reset with a dector rail as soon as a cart makes the turn to the desired location in order to only use 1 line of track. Minecart storage and cart call areas will be included at each station. Someone asked when minecart system will be added last week in chat, and it inspired me. Stand by as the east gets easier to call people to you when they are a guest. They will just have to select a destination and push a button.
Make sure you protect the entire length of track and road to prevent theft and people building all over it. I did not protect a road I built for players from spawn and someone felt the need to build in the middle to block access by other players. Most of it is protected now for that very reason.

I have not done rail on Agharta in awhile so I'm not sure if automatic sorting will work. One good thing about the rail function in MC now is the ability to move the cart without the assistance of power. Doesn't go too quickly but it will help conserve your gold. Send me a message on here or in-game and I can help you out with materials for the tracks.
what a huge undertaking, go dteandy! Feel free to call on us (sceva or me) for help setting up. One thought...an unlight powered track will make you stop and I agree that it does not have to be powered all the way, you can travel very simply on flat surface.
im building the test station now. p rebuilt the idea in creative gonna take awhile in survival. Its all claimed hagan i have over 100k blocks claimed in the east. Once i get some progress, ill open trust for buttons.

Jessica, i like the idea for the stops along the way, but the problem is that carts bump off each other when people cant destroy them, which wont be allowed, therefore, they need to keep moving and enter a storage area. The other day there were 4 mine carts randomly roaming the track and collecting mobs--one of which was the horse i was riding.
second though on it Jessica, i may have a few unpowered rails where you can hit a pressure plate to keep the cart moving. Itll also talke a long while to build fencing and lighting around so mobs can get in the way, though i don think there is a way to stop amimals from spawning there....
I hear you on those issues! wow fencing will be an insane amount of work! I so enjoyed the 'collection' of animals in carts at spawn yesterday lol maybe you should keep some around just for viewing enjoyment <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f609.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=";)">;)</object> We admire your vision for Agharta (not taking over and controlling but uniting for all players) and stand behind you in whatever you need.
We are also working on connecting a road from our current location to the east9k road. That way we can make it easier to move animals throughout the map.

Also I think it would be great if we can name the new road. Any thoughts as to what it should be called?

A thought (crazy I know) Mods or Admin do you have the ability to help with the issue of placing and removing carts? It would just make things so simple if peeps could set down or remove their own carts :/ Even if just within stations (specific areas) I do not know the full capabilities of Admin or Mods but was hoping there may be some way to resolve this issue to make the rails available and functional to everyone.

Minetown being down is like an itch I can't scratch XO
JessicaRabit, one way to get it so users can place/destroy carts could be done by un-protecting a small area of the track and hopefully people don't grief it
