I keep getting a bunch of error messages, I tried forcing it to update but that didn't help. The messages I get are

internal client error: java.net.connectexception: connection refused: connect. and then end of stream. Please help <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/2639.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":(">:(</object>

That means it's your client.

Did you add any new mods ?

Try restarting your PC and also erase mc.minetown.net and reenter it by hand.

that was happening to me as well this morning but it fixed itself after like 5 mins

So... yea... its minecraft.net acting out. They prob working on something today maybe...
