Well its a laptop. The sound is gonna be crap coming out of those speakers.
As for resolution I dunno. Maybe 720 is low for a laptop

Gaming laptops generally have a lower resolution to increase framerate. I wouldn't worry about it too much honestly, that Asus you found is awesome, just go with it.

1366 x 768 resolution.
Compared to the 2 laptops I currently have, its definitely worth it
