Okay, Ive ran the software from minecaft.net, and went through the creating from this little window, It says i have created the server, but no IP, help nao?

Once you have port forwarded go to whatsmyip.net and use that and add :25565 at the end

Port? whaddya mean? its been downloaded and such. Do i just go there now?

Ok,

1. Get the server software, which you already have.

2. Get Hamachi here for windows, here for mac

3. Install Hamachi and setup a network. "Network"->"New Network"->Make one up

4. Have your friend get Hamachi as well and join the network you created by inputting the exact same information that you did

5. Start the server software and start minecraft

6. You type "127.0.0.1" in the server field while your friend types in whatever IP shows up in the network next to your machine.

7. Congrats, now go play together
