When I find a dungeon, I've been building an xp farm out of it and NOT claiming the land, leaving it for someone else to find, most often with chest contents intact (like I need more cat disks), although i will move the contents to a chest outside the spawn area. Does anyone have a problem with this? If I put down a chest on unclaimed land, will anyone else be considered griefing if they take the items out of the chest? Do I need to specify public? If I put something, say, enchanted armor in an existing chest does it then consider me the "owner", or only if I claim the land?

I really don't want to get banned or get anyone else banned.

It is considered stealing to take stuff out of someone else's chest, and can be bannable. Most people wont take things out of a chest if they know the items were put in the chest by another player, so I would suggest placing a sign that says something like "Free stuff" on or next to the chest, so that people know they can have it. <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object>

Technically the rule on unprotected land in Agharta is that if it is unprotected, it is free game to take from. Even if you know it was placed by another player.
