[Enjin Archive] Clarified Soft and Hard Rule Punishments
Started by [E] Darkpsy

There has been a significant increase in the amount of swearing in-game and disrespect of both players and staff. The following will apply as of the time and date of this posting.

Physical Soft Rules

Soft rules are those rules that are specific to the Prison Role-play Server. They are punishable by confinement, confiscation, and/or muting. You will not be kicked or banned for soft rule offenses, except in severe or repeated instances.

- Excessive PVP: The first jailing is done for 5 minutes. Subsequent violations will increase the jail sentence by 5 minutes, up to a maximum of 20 minutes.

- Safezoning: Safezoning is applied when you hit someone and immediately run into the safe zone. If caught, you will be warned to exit. If you refuse, it will result in a 5 minute jail sentence. Subsequent violations will increase the jail sentence by 5 minutes, up to a maximum of 20 minutes.

- Safezone Camping: Safe zone Camping is applied if you stand outside a safe zone, and continually kill players exiting. The jailing for this is the same as the above.

- Holding or Refusing to Give Contraband (Swords, Bows, Drugs): If you are caught holding a contraband item, you will first be warned to give it up. If you refuse, one of two things can happen: 1.) If you are in a PVP enabled area, you will be killed, or 2.) If you are in a safe zone, you will be jailed.

- Taking Drugs: If you are seen under the influence of drugs, it will result in an immediate jail sentence of 5 minutes. This also follows normal jailing procedures as above.

- *Player Traps*: If you attempt to kill someone while in a safe zone by digging a trap, you will be jailed immediately.

Searches and Confiscations:

Once you have been jailed for the same offense 3 times, you will be searched. If contraband is found, it will be taken from you. Having contraband in your inventory during a search will not result in a longer jail sentence. The new life rule does not apply in this case as there is a record of when you were jailed. The only thing that resets this is a new day. A new day is defined at midnight server time, according to your player logs.

Chat Soft Rules

- Swearing and Spamming: The occasional slip-up is acceptable. However, if its continual, you will be muted for 5 minutes after an initial warning. The mute will increase by 5 minutes for each subsequent offense, up to a maximum of 20 minutes.

- Selling Contraband in Global Chat: This will result in an immediate mute, without warnings. The mute procedure for subsequent offences is the same as above.

Permanent Mutes:

Permanent mutes are a last resort for serious and continual offenses. Depending on a number of factors, it may result in a ban from the Prison server.

Hard Rules

Hard Rules are those rules that are applied across Minetown. Violating hard rules will result in the following:

- Racism, Sexism, or any form of Hate Comment: 1st Offense - 20 minute mute without warning. 2nd Offense - 1 hour mute. 3rd Offense - 48 hour Prison Server ban. 4th Offense - Global Ban.

- Disrespect of Players and Staff: 1st Offense - Warning. Subsequent offenses follow the above guidelines.

- Griefing: This includes building structures, impeding other players' progress, and disrupting normal enjoyment of the server. 1st Offense - 40 minute jail sentence. 2nd Offense - Ban.

- Using Cheats of Any Kind: No warnings will be given. You will receive an immediate jail sentence, which is permanent. Evidence and logs will be examined, and if found to be using cheats, you will be banned.

These rules exist to ensure you enjoy your time on our Prison Server. They are not to be abused or tested in any way, shape, or form. Prison Staff Members have been made aware of these rules, and will punish accordingly. Should you have any questions, please contact me via Private Message on the website.

Kind Regards,

Danni and Darkpsy
I suggest we have an in-game announcement with a link to this post. That way players can know even if they don't read the forums often.
Or paste it in a book ingame.

I know from experience that not many players read the book.
Great post Danni and Darkpsy, I just hope people will read it. I suggest making a second book for new players just for this kind of topic?
Yeah we will do ^^
