Lately there has been alot of debate on what is a prison server is. Im Writing this to explain all the parts of the server rules and ideals to you. And hopefully this will clear up alot of the debate that is going around.
By logging on to MineTown Prison you automatically accept the rules and codes of conduct; therefore "I didn't read the rules" will not be a valid excuse to be unbanned.
First are the rules:
The rule with the most debate is No PvP. Here is the deal. This is a role-playing server, and one of the rules is No PvP, if PvP was disabled, we wouldn't need this, but it is enabled, because it is your choice, you know you will be punished. So if you go on ranting how an Officer or Sergeant killed you for PvP. It was your choice to do so. Don't say that you "did the right thing" or "he hit you first" one of the last signs in spawn is,
We also won't give back items, you were in the wrong place at the wrong time. So sorry, but it is the same for everyone.
The staff here wont be forgiving, our job is to control the rule breakers, if you don't want to be part of it, don't be by it. To be fair, we must carry the same punishment, and we all know it. If you think that something is up, just tell us, on the staff report forums.
Soft Rules are rules that wont be punished as harshly as Hard Rules, but If you make multiple offenses(3-4 Times) They will be punished the same as a hard rule. Almost always the punishment is killing, but jailing is also common.
So PvPing, Safe-Zoning, Refusing to hand over contraband and all that will be punished that way.
Hard Rules are basically rules that are punished right away, such as saying swears in chat (even if its filtered) spamming, harassing, XRaying and hacking in any way will be handled by either a Jail, Mute, or in the worst case a Ban
Bans rarely happen, they only occur when you repeatedly break rules.
This is our prison server, not yours. Don't like it, not our problem, you came here entirely by choice.
Minetown offers a PVP server that is purely focused on PVP. You can get there by typing /server pvp
