[Enjin Archive] Bind Messages to Keys?
Started by [E] GTLtheLoneWolf

Hi MineTown, GTL here.

So, it has struck me that I have recently been having to constantly type the exact same answers to a lot of the same questions asked by different people. Typing them constantly has taken a lot of time out of my actual game play. While painstaking to constantly type, I really do want to help everyone, but it's just a lot of work.

Is there any Minecraft mod that will allow me to bind a specific key to post a copy paste message into chat with the press of a button, and if so, does it require ModLoader or Forge?

Also, I'm aware that some modifications such as X -Ray or Fly Mod are banned from being used on the server, would this modification also violate that rule? I suppose some could think of it as a Spam plugin, as it allows for rapid messaging. I, of course, would never do that. Just curious.

Kindest Regards,

GTL

It is certainly allowed on the server. Many people I know have it and use it. It might even be included in the staff and donator client.

Works like a charm. I used to have /jumpto bound to one of my mouse buttons and PVP as a teleporting sniper. Until I got told not to because I was unkillable.
Just for future reference when it comes to mods...

If it will increase, or make it easier to get items or do things, it is illegal. Stuff like this is merely just so you dont ave to type. But the key is not to spam.

Another rule of thumb is, if it used to break an existing rule, its bad <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object>

Use the voxel client in the FTB mod pack it has keybind macro's in it. i use the macro's to open my /chest with the push of a button. I also use it to /ping the server to see if its is lagging. Rather than type "Lag" or "test"

This mod is one I can't live without <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object> As landro stated be careful when using it with PVP as it can give you an unfair advantage but other then that its 100% acceptable to be used on this server. Its really great for skyblock for the challenges and so on. With this mod you dont necessarily have to have everything bound to a key either. You can use the GUI editor to make buttons which you can access with the ~ key. This is what I do cause I often forget what button I bound things to <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f61b.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":p">:p</object>
Useful things to bind:

/home --> panic button! imagine you're falling to your death on a mining trip or burning to death. simply teleport home before it's too late and you lose all your items.

/chest --> works as a secondary inventory button

/jumpto --> fastest way of travelling

/score Landr0 --> check your KD ratio on MCBall

/cprivate --> lock many chests (alternative: /cpersist + /cprivate)
