So, I completed a challenge called netherportal. And to my surprise I did not receive my diamond sword due to a full inventory. Is it possible to receive it somehow?

No, not getting items because your inventory is full is a basic part of minecraft.

its odd that your diamond sword would just disapear maybe it fell out of your inventory on the ground and despawned just a thought as i have never played on the sky blocks server and do not know much about it
