Ok.... this is ender chest



Since it does not provide very much useful in minetown, I would suggest this become a share chest among the community..

sometime i do throw away certain item, but it might probably provide some usefulness to other member, therefore, from now on ward, I will put my useless items into the enderchest, and whoever need it can take some.... And pls, I hope there's no one will take everything everytime, pls take whatever it's needed... it's like a charity. Helping some players who might need your "rubbish".

I find it very useful. I build at 3 different locations around bermuda and its nice to have a place for basic materials and tools.

Yeah, I use it to hold some items while working on projects away from warps. I have left materials in it for weeks on end with nothing happening to them. I have also not seen any items in there that were not mine.

a lot of people do something like this already. you just need to set up chests in a region that is flagged 'chestaccess allow' so anyone can use the chest. post some signs that say something like free stuff or such and let people have at it. there are some in spawn and many larger towns where people will just toss excess materials they dont feel like wasting or selling.

*note: chests set up with 'free' signs and such are not allowed to be searched for theft as you are displaying them as free to take.

Enderchests are linked to you and you alone. anyone can use any enderchest, but it is their own private inventory chest that pops up for it, not the person who placed it. else that would become a major issue in servers XD

unfortunately enderchests are linked to player profiles, not open share so you cant have someone else access your enderchest inventory with the way the actual program is written. it would require a complete redesign of a game aspect or brand new plugin from scratch to do something like that. I like the idea, but a lot of people do use their enderchest for convenience as well a it is a perfectly safe inventory that cant be stolen from and can be accessed from any enderchest in the server it is tied to. Changing the rules of the item would end up causing a lot of issues for players that have them filled with diamonds or other valuable materials if they arent on to fix it before a change would occur.

its a great idea, and would be cool if there was some chest-item that differentiated from the normal one to allow for use of always open for sharing, but there is nothing that can be used at this time other than a regular chest with a 'chestaccess allow' flag set up around it. (not against the idea, just wont work the way you are thinking it with its current setup...perhaps in the future something will come up that can be used for this)
