hey ive been trying to install shaders

heres is what i did:

got it

opened minecraft.jar

installed optifine

installed glsl Shaders of 1.4.6/1.4.7

removed META_INF

removed old minecraft.jar

renamed folder minecraft.jar

launched

get mojang splash, wont load tho

what am i doing wrong?

What shader version? What optifine version? Can you link me?

As I'm quite sure you are on a Mac, it is probably because Macs aren't made to handle the sheer power that is needed to run stuff like this... I tried installing GLSL shader mod just earlier, but it was laggy as hell. I allocated 6GB, out of 16GB, of ram to minecraft; but to no avail... Other than what I have just said, I have no other insight as to how to help you with this... Sorry.

Oh ok, that could be why it was taking forever to load, I'll just have to live with boring ones lol, unless someone knows of a Mac compatible version
