With the recent changes to the plug-ins on the PvP server we are opening up the plug-ins decision to you the players. Please use this poll to express and voice your ideas.

This is not a thread to voice your concerns about the current state of PvP or past affairs but rather a thread to make the future of the PvP server something enjoyable by all.

This poll will remain open for the rest of the year and we will start the new year with the plug-ins you have decided on with an annoucement first on what will be used and a full detail of all the needed information to use this plug in and how it will effect the current state of the PvP server.
I feel that i had a much better experience back on the old map, when mcmmo actually helped. Now it seems that any base that i make will be found and raided within a couple of days. I would love to have to server back on just normal mcmmo and no powers plugins. I feel it is a little unfair that with the new powers plugins you can just destroy chests and steal everything the faction has. Although i do understand that that is part of the pvp server, it gets annoying after 2 or three times in a row. Like for example, my faction just built a brand new base and within 2 days it was already raided. The base was obsidian, so there shouldnt have been any ways to get in. I feel that the overall experience of minetown was much better when i started on it, then what it has turned into.

I personally like the powers plugin because it makes PvP interesting, BUT i have a few ideas for it, like how you would not be able to activate abilitys inside another factions claimed land. Also how specific powers could be touched up a bit or have a cool down. Then again that s just my opinion.
If we were to change the PvP plugins back to MCMmo would we all be given back our original stats?
I brought up this idea earlier on the pvp server and people seemed to agree with it. How about we just have the factions plugin, no mcmmo, no powers, no nothing. I think that might be the change we are all looking for, at least i think it might be for me. I think it is worth a try.

I've changed my opinion, I originally wanted just basic powers but I changed it to powers with condition, my explanation is that it could be used very well and being it the server if it is conditioned right, I suggest going through the powers and disabling ones that can be abused and those that are unfair. Before I voice my concerns on just having basic McMMO back I would like to note that this is MY opinion and I do not care for people that say they don't like my opinion just because it is not there. So the reason why I resent McMMO is because I think ever since the pvp server has gone up its been a nice populated server, my thoughts on the matter is that It would be nice to give it a new meaning, make the pvp more fun and competetve, let it grow in a new perspective if you will.

I feel just having McMMO is boring and will deter some players because we all get bored every now and then, I want to make sure players are not choosing MMO just because they can't think of anything else and think that becuase powers mod is not good they need to replace it with whatever fast.

I also wanted to let you know before I finish my opinion, "THINK LONG TERM".

I voted for 'powers with changes'.

There are a few reasons behind this.

Although MCMMO is a nice plugin, the combat divide it causes (ie that of you being unlikely to win at all unless you both have equalish stats or better) will be an issue for people joining, as they will be ones coming in to PVP. They won't wanting to spend 40 hours punching skeletons so they can stand a fair chance in a fight.

I do like the non-combat skills with MCMMO, though. As you're not competing with others in these aspects, you are able to grind a skill, while potentially doing something useful (ie find diamonds) without having to worry about training this is you want to PVP.

I liked NirvaEx, but It had issues. Although the abilities were more varied and added a bit more spice to playing MC, many abilities were a bit OP, and I would have really liked the ability to change classes once every 8 hours or so.....Now, I WOULD have voted 'nclass with modifications'...but...

I simply LOVE s86Powers. I love the ingenuity behind some of the skills, I love the fact we can have 3 rather diverse abilities, and I love how much thought has been put into each power.

However, there ARE changes that need to be done.

Volatility, PhaseWalk, and Tracker are all OP, in their own way. And worst of all, you COULD'VE had all 3 of these abilities, had two of them not been removed as choices. Volatility still remains and makes region protections somewhat of a liability, as it bypasses region protections and allows chests to be broken. This in my opinion is far too powerful an ability, perhaps would be more viable if it DIDN'T override region protections, but the blast radius was a little larger.

I would (personally) like the following....

MCMMO Skills, without the combat ones (similar to the setup we have currently)

S86Powers, with the ability to have maybe two passive abilites, with the extra one costing much more, and with a few skills amended so they balance out.

And heck, might even be nice to have nClass classes thrown in for a bit more variety too, with also a few abilites there being modified (Vampiric Kiss anyone?), But this one would only be a delightful extra.

So I could be mining Diamond, while levelling my Mining, Fall into lava but be protected because I'm a druid, and then whack some Spiders with BloodBend to heal me whilst I mine.

I (again, personally) would hate to have MCMMO combat abilities. I enjoy the skills but the unbalance it brings (not that I'm exactly lazy with training, having played goddamn Runescape for 4 years) I fear would put me off doing anything but mining because I could be killed in two hits by some lad with 1000 unarmed, or destroys my trusty fireprotIV in two hits with his Diamond axe...Especially when Diamond is worth so much more on this server.

TL;DR Powers(Modified) with MCMMO non-pvp skills would be my own choice. Essentially, its just the MCMMO PVP skills that I specifically DON'T want.
