Everyone blames it on the lag. At least tell the truth. Im sure sawine wouldnt have banned you for breaking 1 little piece by accident cause i would assume its protected as well.

When I saw said lag I meant that I thought it wasn't respawning because of lag

Honestly you don't seem like the type to do this repeatedly from seeing you in the server before, just have to prove you did it on accident for real.
