eh, sorry for being a complete noob,butwhat does sponges do? all ive heard is that they prevent lava form destroying your place..

They stop water from spreading, exeriti.

Sponges "delete" water in a 5x5x5 area around it. Thats why I have all those sponges in a grid formation, to prevent water from falling on us.

Doesnt work on lava.

Man, sponges sound really useful. Too bad they didnt work back in creative, or I woulda completed my underground tunnel :/

They didn't? I played creative back in march and they worked fine, unless you're talking SMP without mobs.

Just found out.. i've worked 3 hours total today for nothing.. Seyphe have to see me working.. Well atleast i got some stacks of cobble stone to stash away for later use(lol) and maybe sephe is online today so i can earn more DIAMOUNDS! <3

Sponges have always worked in Creative, but never in Single, or Multi - Alpha.
