Minetown tries to offer a wide range of aspects of Minecraft to its members.

Various servers have been put up that all focus on an aspect of Minecraft.

For now, you will need to actually go to different IP adresses to swap servers, but in the near future, everything will be linked together and accessible from portals in the main world.

It seems like PvP is your cup of tea. The best place to go then is the PvP server at pvp.minetown.net. It's pretty much Hardcore survival, where a couple of factions try to seize the power and most valuables.

You can either make your own faction, or try and join an existing one.

There's much more to the faction to explain, but I'm too tired now.

If you're online, see if someone from Rebels is online (do /f show Rebels). They'll be glad to help you out.

If you prefer main world then head on over to /warp newbietown

We're offering a free 10x10 plot to start off building your own home. We even have a donation box at the house of the warp which generous players usually drop items into <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object> So check it every now and then to help you out.

You get land protected by region protections. If you can't build in an area its probably region protected. Use a feather and right click the ground to check if there's a region or not. To get your own region make sure you're away from other players buildings and then make a petition asking for a region protection. Here's an example:

/pe open Could I get a region protection here please?

You can use petitions whenever you need staff help ingame.

Thanks everyone. I will get a plot tonight if possible and check out factions in the near future. VERY interested in that and I like the idea of being part of a faction called the Rebels.

So I checked out Newbietown and I've never seen anything like it before except in videos. Hundreds of people seem to have plots there and that's just one town? I couldn't find a free plot and accidentally sent my petition in from the welcome center. Couldn't figure out how to join a chat channel for help. Will come back definitely. If this is just the tip of the iceberg, holy.

To get into chat do /ch g other than that i don't have much for u and the PVP server is pretty dead now with only 1-10 players on it now.

We have a few chat channels.

Global - /ch g

Local - /ch l

Trade - /ch t

Events - /ch e

Global chat is the most common one to use. Local is if you talk to nearby players (In a 100 block radius) and trade chat is if you want to buy or sell something.
