Hi I'm new and would like a little guidance on the best way to get started with Minetown. This may seem dumb but I have no idea what the ip is to even play. I applied and was approved as a Member but either I missed something or I missed something, cuz I'm not sure how to get started.

Past actually accessing the MT servers, any advice or whatever about what to do and where to go would be awesome. I interpret what I've seen so far as the following:

1. Spend time in Wildlands to gather resources to make money.

2. With money, buy a plot in someone's town to use as home base.

3. ?

Can't be all there is to it? I was interested in PVP Factions and stuff but those parts of the forum seem really dead so any advice on getting in on that action would be welcome also.

Okay. I thought main server had limited space/resources and you're supposed to sorta use the Wildlands and bring/sell stuff from there cuz it gets wiped out every week?

No, the Wildlands is a completely different server for the guests to play on. The guestworld is where guests can play on the main server. You can get there by typing /warp gw.

Assuming that your application has already been accepted, I would buy a town plot or go out exploring into by typing /warp wilds and walking at least 75 blocks out and make a home in the wilderness. Welcome to MineTown!

Thanks. That all helps but boy, confusing with all these different zones/worlds/etc. I still don't know the IP to connect to MT though!

If you go on the home page on the far right you will see a list of Minetown servers, when you move your mouse over the name it will show you the server ip.

However, Minetown's PvP Server (pvp.minetown.net) is an incredible server!

Use "/f" in game to learn about starting your own faction!

If i'm online i'll give you a guidethrough, but i'm sure you'll pick it up anyway!

I'm interested in the type of PVP where players work together in factions to roleplay minisocieties working in competition/war with others on the map. Is that how you guys do it, MasterJack?
