The server is online at the moment, so it should work @_@. Did you spell the address correctly?

Also you need version 1.2.3, although it would have displayed a different message if you had 1.3 installed.

You Tried mc.minetown.net? Connection Timed Isnt so Common.

Do you actually have a legit minecraft account?

Try closing all instances of Minecraft and then log in again. That fixes it for me whenever I encounter the Bad Login error.
