[Enjin Archive] [Help me!] problem with sphax bdcraft in tekkit...
Started by Unknown User

hey guys, i just got technic launcher running all works fine, frame rate for default TP is 178fps... then i switch to sphax pureBDcraft 128x128 and it drops to 1-10 fps. it runs fine on vanilla minecraft. is it all the new mods or what? i adapted the TP folder for tekkit (draged all the addons into the sphax folder) and alll the textures are fine. its the fps...

help?
Sorry, but I'm afraid if you want that TP on Tekkit you're gonna have to deal with it, get a better computer or try the x64 version! It's the same for everyone, and it's not just in-game, it seems to slow up the whole launcher! For me it actually runs fine in-game, but loading it up and joining a server takes about 10x as long and it also causes the launcher to crash after about 30 mins use! But tbh I'm fine with it seeing as it means I don't have to stare at the boring ass Default TP! <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object>
I use default sphax 256 no problems. I don't have all the fancy textures for the tekkit stuff but everything works great.
Ye, I''ve never used Spahx on Vanilla Minecraft, only Tekkit, so I don't know how it handles otherwise! :L
Barney I have the same problem <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/2639.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":(">:(</object>

My Tekkit crashes after about 7 minutes unless you keep on pressing Esc to 'Save the world'.

If it does crash, all my recent changes (items deposited in chests etc) dissapear and i lose those items + progress :/

It still crashes after that sometimes, but yeah :/ God knows what it would be like on a Tekkit Server <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f632.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":o">:o</object>

This happens with the Normal TP and Sphax, but it is more often with Sphax.

Sphax has Randomobs and things like that take up loads of computer memory, space, power, don't know the word? <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f61b.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":p">:p</object>

I don't have a gaming computer, so I use these settings, you may want to too:

~Render Distance on Tiny

~Clouds off

~Particles Minimal

~Power Saver instead of Max FPS

~Graphics on Fast rather than Fancy

~few more things that I can't remember....

If you hover over these options in the Options Menu, it tells you which one will use less 'Computer power' anyway, so have a browse <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object>

Even if he did know it you haven't necessarily wasted your time! You could have helped someone else who looked to this thread for help! <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object>
