Just to introduce a bit, i have many years of experience of webmaster and i know many about traffic, ads, webhosting, etc...

I'll go straight to the point here:

If you want a lot of new people to join the server, everyday all the time, its really easy.

All you have to do is to go and post ANYTHING on this thread: http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1025&t=119297

The objective here is only to bump the thread to the top, so it gets on minecraftforum first page and it will get THOUSANDS of views. Everytime you post, it will stay on the first page for 30min - 1 hour.

It only takes about 1-2min to post. If you care about this server please go.

No offense saw, but I think its a terrible idea. Don't we have enough people already? I mean really? I want this server to go private so much because we are getting flooded with people. I liked having some people, maybe a dozen or so at a time, but not to much. I hate crowded servers, it just annoys me.

I disagree with Dread. We want as many people as possible. It's the point of even having a server. If you want a private one, then go to a private one. The more people we can get on here, the better. It means more traffic which equals more people willing to donate ect to make the server better.

Yeah, I see that it will make more money for the server, but I dislike the fact that at the rate we are going, one day I may be pushed out of the server for noobs who haven't been here 1/4th as long as me.

You shouldn't be pushed out as the player cap is 64 people. Maybe I will with the holidays coming around... who knows? Still, I don't want eight bajillion people. I like varied designs and different people, but eventually it just becomes to much.

i think the problem is....that....the more people means more lag....it'd be nice if the server went whitelist

rhost we just upgraded, i doubt it will lagg except for world saves. which is your help because if you get a major grief or server goes boom and the whole worlds needs restart we can go off that
