Its another game where u have to kill innocent monsters just for fun. Also you have to kick the ass of some bad guys (no not the Russians or terrorists this time). You start the game as total noob and need to choose a class, gender (only 1 gender per character is allowed) and a race first. You have the choice between a common human (depends on what the developer understands with "common"), stinky fur things called Char, another midget like not definable race called Azura, the giant like Norn who can turn themselves into animals and the Sylvari who are very simillar to the pointy ears beeings called elves. In part 1 you had to kick the ass of bad guys and other player and poor monsters. Same in part 2. Only differences: You can choose other races than humans like in part 1, graphics becomes better, other bad guys, healer have been removed from the game means you have to watch your ass on your own and there is a "2" behind the title.
