Players are usually asked to return items they've stolen if they're found raiding. In the event that they do return them, they're let off with a warning. This is obviously not what happened.

I've reviewed the logs and can see that MatthewIsAnApple confronted you about the situation. When you were given an opportunity to come clean, you chose to run rather than give the raided items back. If it was an honest mistake, why didn't you return what you took?
