[Enjin Archive] Hightened Security???
Started by [E] Sparkus81

I have Reset the router, all pc's have up to date working antivirus/ spyware software installed, even though they where fully checked i have done another full scan on them, i have spent so far 8hours checking all off them, i have even gone to the website it says and put in every IP adress up to 99 to check to see where the mal ware is supposed to be, i have spent all day doing this not just because off mine town but because of other posible hackings into my computer system so thanks to your server they all got a good and thougher security overhaul, and yet minetown is still blocking me due to a none existant problem that aparently has happened between 4pm gmt and 8am. and spamhaus has no record of this malware infection on my ip address?

What is your ip address ? The current one you are using to access the forum isn't banned from our server. 92.29.xxx.xxx

Private message me if it's a different one.
unfortunatly yeild i can not get a report from that site because

"IP addresses starting with "10" (10.0.0.0/8), "192.168" (192.168.0.0/16) and "172.16" through "172.31" (172.16.0.0/12) are known as "Private Address Space". See RFC1918 for further details. These IP addresses are used internally on a private local area network, and are not routed/visible on the Internet. They can only reach the Internet by way of a NAT or proxy or a server. The CBL CANNOT list RFC1918 addresses because they are not directly visible/routable on the Internet." Directly qouted from the website itself!
To know what is your public IP, go there: http://whatismyip.com
Unfortunatly Their is nothing that can be done for it is the IP address that my internet provider actually controlls (THE MIDDLE MAN <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/2639.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":(">:(</object> )so there isn't a problem my end or yours I'm Sorry for getting angry on here its just so frustrating that you do everything you can to sort it out and it still dosn't work <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/2639.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":(">:(</object>
What message do you get when you try to log in ??
i can log into minecraft but as soon as i try to join minetown town i get disconected by server due to this ip address being reported as blocked by spamhause.org/xbl
Okay, seriously. It looks to me like you've been checking your local IP address against the spam blocklist, that's why you got that report.

Now, in case you didn't know, your local IP is completely meaningless to the rest of the internet. Every single house that has more than one device connected to the Internet has a computer or a router that's created a local network with one of those addresses. They're not unique.

But when any of those computers wants to talk to the rest of the Internet, you use a single IP address that is provided to your modem by your ISP. The addresses ISPs give out ARE unique, because an ISP buys a range of addresses, but sometimes they get switched around, so every once in a while yours can change. So it's possible that one or more of your computers are infected, but it's also possible that you just got randomly assigned a blacklisted address when your router renewed its DHCP lease. (if you don't know what that means don't worry about it)

So this is what you need to do:

1) go to http://whatismyip.com/

2) copy THAT IP address, and look it up at http://www.spamhaus.org/lookup/

3) if your IP is in fact on the XBL, you'll be able to see the reason why and get further info from the page about how to fix it.
Bear in mind that your IP can change any time you reboot or reset your router, depending on the configuration of your ISP.
