[Enjin Archive] A question for staff about portals...
Started by Unknown User

Hi guys

I was wondering if it is POSSABLE to make a portal like the one going to the event world (water) linking to a warp, not world

This would be really helpful in many ways

But I am guessing it is gonna create lag and ten fluffy bunnies will die due to global lagging and stuff

But can it be done?

It would really help and make builds more interesting

E.g

I am building a spacestation but I want it over water so a lift wont do, but I want to be able to get to it from my house and town without having to type the warp...

I just think it would be slicker....

If any alternatives can be done that are similar that would be ok

Thanks for reading guys <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object>
We will be moving away from MultiversePortals soon, as it's quite heavy on ressources, when the cluster/plugin software is done.

We might look into some pressureplate teleportation system or another possible portal system... but at the same time allowing everyone to create portals could end up in some problematic scenarios.

You can always have a MyWarp sign made to it.
I know that on the DEV server, aly has made a centralized portal station, It is pasted 8 times around the map, and is just an easier way for players to travel. Example: one from spawn city to shoping district.

They are pretty massive structures, but i just hope that they will be used. What i would like to see is no warps on the new server when it goes live, to make it more chanllenging. You would have to walk, or portal to the other places using the portals provided. But i know she has them all placed. <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object>
