Being a younger Minetownian I know it is hard to donate. Having to have a credit card and PayPal means I can only stick so donating so much.

I do know however some websites have Text-to-Donate functions. For example;

I text a number made by Minetown, lets say the number is 12345.

And in the actual body of the text message I put my in-game name and the amount I want to donate.

So it would look like this:



The username of the player (in-game) nad the amount.

The amount would still be like normal. If I want to donate five US Dollars I would type 5.00 If I wanted to donate ten US Dollars I would type 10.00

The donation money would be deducted from your mobile/cells credit or if you were on contract, added to your monthly or weekly bill.

Most text2pay services take 50% fee and after that when I would transfer the money to my paypal there would be an additional 13% fee... that would make 63% of fees. That means the server would only receive $3.70 for a $10 donation and $1.80 for a $5 donation. ... a $100 donation would end up being a $37 one...

I know some of you might say "afterall the server still get extra money", but I'm not sure if I really appreciate the fact of it being so unfair between paypal and text2pay donations... receiving the same perks for paying a lot less.
