[Enjin Archive] Official Thread: Water War Arena!

Deimosian and I have began work on a new event called Water War. Here we will be providing sneak peaks, rules, and eventually times for the event.

Functions of the event include:

Faction Wars

PvP Insanity

Squid Squasher

And More!

How does it work?

It's a mix of choosing whether to drown or kill. There are small pockets of air underwater and three houses with no water in them. There are also numerous cracks with chests in them, which loot can be gathered from every couple of minutes; however, if you stay in the water too long outside of any air, you begin to drown. So knowing that, PVP can't always be your main focus.

How do you win?

In the every-man-for-himself part of the event, there is no winner. We are still working out this part, but our imagined reward uses the new fat loots system, which allows you to get credits from chests. We'll also have certain items that the chests give to you which can be sold for a credit award.

Squid Squasher?

Another indev part of this event is a mode called squid squasher, where the goal is to get as many Ink Sacs as possible from the squids that spawn. The top three at the end are the winners.

Faction Wars?

Another cool part of this Arena is the equal setup on both sides. Factions come in on both sides with equal materials given out and participate in a Last Man Standing or CTF event to prove dominance. The factions will have to pay an entrance fee, the winnings go to the winning faction. This actually gives war some stakes and purpose, and makes tactics even more valuable than they were before.

Deim and I will be running tests (hopefully) within this week, so keep your eyes out for times we'll put here. Now for some screenshots!
