Okay, so I'm building this pit in the middle of the desert. It's circular, being around 70 blocks in diameter, and I plan for it to be 40 blocks deep. I'm not making a trap or anything. I'm making an underground town with the help of my friends, so that we can do fun stuff <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object>. I plan for the "town" to be in the middle of the pit, with bridges connecting it to other parts of the town.

However, I'm not sure if it's legal to build that large of a pit. Can a moderator or Minetown player tell me if I'm allowed to build this pit?

You can build whatever you want as long as it's not bothering someone elses stuff. Make sure to put in a pe to get it protected.
