This is awesome news, I can't wait until Minecraft is finalized and put on Steam!!!

Do we know that Notch is going to put it on Steam? I ask only because one of the yellow text lines that appears on the opening screen of the game reads, "Not on Steam!"

and it probably never will, since he wants to give the source out for free once the game dies in a few years. Like it ever will ;D

but ya, hope it doesnt, because I already have it purchased out of steam and that would be just a pain to see my friends playing it, and I cant join them or stuff. Plus auto updating can be painful. Point being, he should just keep to banner advertising and I am sure he will do just fine, especially looking at the statistics of 35k copies of the game being bought each day right now, without advertising lol :3
