This may be a stupid question, but i was wondering if these visual mods are legal or illegal. I dont want to be banned for something I should have asked before i did! Pictures attached

I'd assume these are allowed.

Unless being able to experience this awesomeness is considered an unfair advantage.

Im with tprezzle on this one. Since they simply enhance the game and don't allow you to see ores I would assume they are fine. Looks really good btw. Do you notice a considerable FPS decrease?

I have thought of it... but the one that i have doesnt decrease anything at all..... On another note would optifine be legal? All i know is that it increases FPS Just incase

All shader mods drastically increase the load on the CPU.

And I mean a lot. When running on max settings I go down from 200 FPS to about 30.

For people on average hardware it's unplayable, the water mod on it's own is a massive resource eater, unfortunately it's a big step-up from standard MC graphics that most kit cant handle.

Also yes, optifine does increase FPS (usually) - it's a good mod to have at the very least for the HD texture functionality and the zoom button.

Optifine is legal. All it does is increase FPS stabilization, improve world-generation and other things like that.
