New to the server so please forgive me if this has been answered but I didn't see it in the rules or forums.

I came across an NPC village in the wild. It's clear that someone put work into it as it has a few custom houses and a wall but no one seems to be living there atm and no one has claimed the land.

I suspect maybe someone claimed it and has since left??

What are the rules about moving into such a place or claiming it myself?

As far as I can tell from the rules if it's unclaimed I can nab it, no?

I've read that but it appears to be geared toward requesting land someone else already owns. In this case there is no owner to request permission from.

If no one has claimed it, you can claim it yourself.
