This still happens to me. Yesterday I logged off in my mine. Earlier this morning, I find that I log in with the inventory I had when I started playing yesterday. I also find that I spawn on top of a chest near my house. This is the second time it happened.

It occurs over a 12-24 hour time period I believe, just like last time.

HolySm0kes has had similar issues happen to him three times; he has narrowed down the change to when the server restarts at 3am.
