So im looking for the best screen recorder that i can use thats free for my mac. What im doing is opening a youtube channel for minecraft. a lot of videos will be done on minetown, but what program is good? anyone know?

fraps is pretty much the standard, though i have seen bandicam and camstudio before.

I have used Fraps and Camstudio in my time. They are both very good but one of them would work very well on one computer and the other would work very well on the other. So really it's what works for you and your computer.
Since I don't have a Mac, I was only able to research for you, and I have found 2 programs that you can download the trials for and see if you like them:

Snapz Pro X

I Use Camtasia..However It Is A Little Bit Pricey...Anyways Fraps Is Pretty Good! ALSO!!!!!!! If You Have A Flash Drive Or External Hard Drive, I Recommend You Record Your Videos To Them Instead Of Your HD...Reason Being It Will Use Your CPU Alot And Cause Low FPS...<object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object> Any More Hints Or Tips Needed, Just Ask!

Made my ambrosia, my favorite company. Unfortunately, they make mac stuff now which sucks... but good for you, eh? They're a reliable company, used to be one of the leading game developers in the 90's. If you've ever heard of EV Nova, it was a big hit in... 97 I think it was? It went through a big change with the better graphic cards and the idea of it was bought and made into EVE Online. -_- Just a background on the company, from what I remember back 14ish years ago.
