Minetown Event Kickoff
Next weekend (02\10\12) we will be kicking off new efforts by minetown to host more frequent events and make a more active gaming community! Previously, events have either been random and without notice or long term events taking weeks or longer to conclude. Starting this weekend we will begin to host events on a daily basis, sometimes with several events a day, which will be scheduled ahead of time on the event calendar and be scheduled at varying times to catch players in different time zones. We will also have random events in chat requiring only a response to win.
Look forward to new unsupervised events. Upon completing the events you will recieve a one time reward, but you can choose to do them at any time you want! Unsupervised event locations will be maintained in several spots on forums and made public ingame as well.
Along with these new events, expect a new variety of rewards, from spawn eggs to building materials, to good ole minetown credits.
As for the kickoff weekend, you can look forward to it being packed full of events, both building and pvp. There will also be opportunities to win the game beat hazard!
As you can see it's a fun shoot 'em up played with your own music, tying elements of the game play to the music. Many people on the mumble community already play, it's a blast! But....er... don't play if you're prone to seijures >_>... Here's how to win!
~One building event on Sunday will have a game key as a prize.
~Of all participants in events this weekend hosted by me or arvila, one person chosen randomly will win a key.
~Many members of the minetown community are avid players of league of legends. To encourage more people to try joining us in this game, anyone over level 7 in league of legends by the end of this week will be entered into a drawing to win one of two keys. The drawing will be held at the end of the kickoff weekend.
~Two keys will be going to new signups on eximiusgaming.com, the parent site of the gaming community that minetown is a part of. Owned by same sawine that runs minetown, it is the home for all games enjoyed by members of the community. Similarly, the drawing will be held at the end of the event kickoff weekend.
~2 keys will go to random members out of those that spend enough time in mumble over the next week. Incase you don't know, mumble is the servers voice chat program of choice, and it can be joined by downloading mumble here http://sourceforge.net/projects/mumble/files/latest/download?source=files
and joining the server by clicking the link on the home page. Many of the servers most active members and staff spend their time playing in mumble, come join us and have more fun!
