[Enjin Archive] about pretecting lands
Started by [E] antonyoo

I wanted to make a new place for a bigger better home, and many other structures. I found a piece of land about 60x 44 coordinates large.

1) Should I have cleared the land before making a pe?

2) If I choose to expand this place to a town, would it cause problems in the future, if I don't set it as a town now?( I do not plan on selling pieces of my land to others unless Idecide to change to a town)

3) I told the mods in my PE that I did not know who I wanted the Y coordinates to be. I told them I was planning on something big so asked them if I could just get the maximum I could. Was this appropriate?

Thanks.
1. It doesn't matter whether or not you clear the land in a region beforehand; it will not affect your protection.

2. If, in the future, you want your region to become a city, you would have to remove the WorldGuard region, and then make a MCTown region. OR, you can keep the original region, and have the town be the original region. If you decide to keep the original region, then you will not be able to sell individual plots to other people. If you change to a MCTown region, then you will be able to. I suggest you make it a region until you want your area to become a town. Then make a pe stating that you want the region converted to a town.

3. Use dirt pillars to indicate the region you want protected. There is no "maximum" to a region as far as I know, because the Minecraft world is infinite. However, mods will not know how large you want your region unless you indicate it in some way (with coordinates or pillars).
