Try to force an update.

Might need to remove any Mods you are running or run a fresh copy of the game until we figure out what is causing this.

Its fine, and 100% understandable. I know what its like when problems like this happen, since I use to help imthelag run/manage his old server before we shut it down. So no worries from me, I've as well tried everything and still nothing though. hope the problem is fixed soon.

We are running a proxy in front of our server that is handling minecraft authentication. Most people seems to be able to connect through it without any problem. Is there something special about your connection ?

I had the same thing, needed to reinstal minecraft, heiwashin had the same problem.

reinstalled several times, cant even get in the browser mode

i have a weird problem, sometimes it lets me in and sometimes it gives me the Malformed Login packet, server/client version mismatch message

when i managed to get in, it kicked me and the msg said Protocol stream closed
