[Enjin Archive] How to use Duckshop to SELL ITEMS FOR CREDITS. [Shop Plugin]
Started by [E] Wrong Account

I realised one or two people were having duckshop usage issues/curious as to how it worked, so here's a rough guide, followed by some FAQ's.

Quick duckshop guide:

Place a sign.

First line = your username

second line = the quantity you are selling, followed by it's data value. List of values here.

so 3 266 would sell 3 gold bars

Third line = the cost, prefixed by $.

fourth line = blank

so it'd look a bih like this :

adz0704

3 266

$45

this would sell 3 gold bars, for $45 ($15 each)

then place a chest somewhere.

TYPE IN /duckshop link

click the sign, then click chest.

Fill chest with the item, for example = gold.

you can /cprivate chest.

once there are items in the chest, rightclick the sign once. the bottom line that previously said '<invalid>' will now say '+++++++' depending on stock level.

If someone buys off you, the credits will be added automatically to your balance, /money.

I suggest placeing a sign above the duckshop sign, telling the buyer what you are selling, to avoid confusion

troubleshooting/FAQ :

Q,I saw <invalid> on my sign... is it broken?

A, No, it simply hasnt been used yet. Right-click it to test.

Q,<Invalid> didn't appear...what's wrong?

A, You mistyped datavalue/username/ entered a wrong value, check the layout again.

Q, Sign says <empty>, has it broken?

A, Logic is your friend! The chest is now empty.

Q, The chest has to be really close to the sign, right?

A, Nowp, it could be 3000 blocks away, aslong as it's linked.

Q, When I tried to test, it said 'was not connected to a chest'...

A, Type /duckshop link, then click sign after chest.

Q, Can i use sign color editting to make my sign look dynamic?

A, Fraid not. This will prevent you from linking it. It's a sign, not your dog. Why dress it up?

Any questions or comments I'll attempt to respond to <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f600.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":d">:d</object>

Hope you enjoy using duckshop!
Most data values can be replace with thier name IE: stonebrick diamond etc.
Wondering if i can link more chests to a single sign..
yes you can link multiple signs to chests and vice versa they just must have the same item AKA dirt sign must have dirt in all the chests
although data values CAN be used, some don't fit/work <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f600.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":d">:d</object> data values are universally identical, as long as you use hexidecimal. =)

and ya, as adriedupleaf says you can link multiple signs to a chest. You could have stone, glass, and dirt all in the same chest, each with seperate duckshop signs.
To find the keyword for a particular item, you can use the command:
Code:
/odditem alias <keyword|dataValue;damageValue> In Example: /odditem alias 266;0 -returns gingot, goldbar, goldingot /odditem alias gingot -returns ALL the aliases for an item (gingot, goldbar, goldingot) /odditem alias 35;11 -returns bluewool, bluecloth

When using data values on the signs, you use a space (inetead of a dash or colon) to seperate the damage value. So to sell 8 blue wool, the second line would read '8 35 11'. Really, the only situation you would need this is for the items not added to OddItem (the keyword handler for Duckshop).

And by the way, there is a wiki article for this plugin: http://mc.minetown.net/wiki/index.php/Duckshop
