Im here to just check out if it's ok to have this mod. And im also here to recomend it. Here is the official thread:

If you think minecraft is a little quiet and so, This is a mod that adds sounds of nature in the overworld, nether and even in the end! I really recommend this in SMP as well as SSP.

The only thing I liked about that was the ambiance, the sword strikes and tool misses just hurt my ears.

EDIT: Oops, I meant it hurts my eyes. I mean, who listens with their ears? That would just be weird.
