You have updated to 1.1, I take it. Minetown has not updated to the latest version of Minecraft, simply because Bukkit servers are unable to update yet. You need to downgrade, either manually or using this program which will do this for you safely.

Once you download the .exe file, you should be able to choose the version. Choose "final minecraft 1.0.0". Wait for a bit, and the next time you load minecraft, it should be version 1.0.0.

you will have to revert to an older .jar file. if you dont have one, look up minecraft.jar for 1.0 download and then plug it into your bin folder. Ill show the pathway below.

Library > Application Support > minecraft > bin

delete the minecraft.jar there and replace it with a download of 1.0 then you should be able to get back in. note: make sure you turn off minecraft while doing this or you can corrupt the program.
