I want to know how to message/mumble/whisper (whatever it's called <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f61b.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":p">:p</object>) someone in chat in-game.
/tell jallaf Hi can i please have a lot protected?
Thats how you whisper players. If you want a long conversation with them you dont need to keep using /tell:
Just type '/tell player' then press enter, it will put you into a convo with them so you can type like you would in normal chat and it will go to that player; then just use '/ch g' to leave the chat and go back to normal chat <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object>
Dont forget to use /pe open if you need mod and admin help, we normally get that many whipsers that we miss loads and unable to reply to some.
Hope this helps x

If you want to message someone on the site. Simply go to his/her profile and write your message. You can also move your mouse on the profile pic on the forum thread your at. So if i do that on dannniiiiiii's pic, i get a pop-up window where i can choose to Message User.
A guide to chat commands:
A: In-game:
1. You want to send one message only:
/msg <playername> <yourmessage>
example: /msg Landr0 Hello!
Also works:
/tell <playername> <yourmessage>
2. You want to or will probably have a conversation:
/tell <playername> then simply press enter
Everything you type will now be sent to the player above.
To end your conversation, type /ch g, this will put you back in global chat.
3. Replying to someone's /msg. This is useful if you weren't able to read the full name of the player in time.
/r <your message>
4. Changing chat channels:
There's three main different channels and a few custom faction-based channels.
While changing channels, you can still see everything written in the other channels.
/ch g You will now continuously talk in global chat until you change channel or start a conversation. Everyone can see this.
/ch L You will now continuously talk in local chat until you change channel or start a conversation. Everyone near you can see this. If you get the message: No one can hear you, this means that nobody is near you.
/ch t You will now continuously talk in trade channel until you change channel or start a conversation. Everyone sees this channel.
Try to avoid using this, as you might end up accidentally saying non-trade related stuff in the trade channel, resulting in you getting kicked off the server by a moderator for trade chat abuse. Instead, use the following:
/t <yourmessage> This will send one message to the trade channel.
5. Sending an in-game mail. Useful to let someone offline know something.
The following command will send a mail to any player, even if he or she is offline. That player will be able to check the message at any given time until he or she deletes it.
For a listing of the mail commands, do /mail ?
/mail send <playername> <yourmessage>
B. Forums
By mousing over someone's forum picture, you get to choose three options:
1. Profile
Clicking this will take you to that person's Wall. Here you can write a message by clicking on "Write something on <playername>'s wall...
Anyone visiting that person's wall can see what you wrote.
There's many other stuff you can do via this page, like becoming friends, so be sure to check it out.
2. Message User
This way you can send a private message to a player.
Only you and the player have access to this message.
3. View user's posts
This way you have easy access to a summary of all the posts this player has made.
It's an easy way to find the topic you wanted to reply on.
Posts are public, so everyone can see what you write.
4. Chatting on the forums
In order to chat with someone on the forums, that person needs to be online on the forums and needs to be 'currently browsing'.
You can see who's online in the sider bar to the left under ONLINE USERS.
To commence private chat simply click on their name, which takes you to their profile. You'll have the option in the upper right corner to click 'Private Chat'.

Landr0 seems to have you covered <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object> Hope you have fun in Minetown!
Landr0, Thanks for the info. It was really helpful. I still wish we could access the minecraft/minetown chat through an IRC client in a separate window.
