[Enjin Archive] Hosting a Server
Started by [E] Ziminite

I've recently studied up on how to create and host a server for me and a few of my friends. After several hours of reading and tampering with my computer, I was able to create a server that my friends could access (without using Hamachi or other programs). This was good, except I changed the server to Creative mode, and everyone can build Creatively except me, who for some reason, is stuck in Survival mode. As everyone flys around building stuff on my server, I can't even fly. Can somebody inform me on how to change this to allow the host to play Creative too? The server itself is in Creative, so I don't see why I'm not.

On a further note, everytime I try to enter my server, I receive the message "Connection Lost" and under it says ""The server responded with an invalid server key". I can generally get in my server after a few times of it doing that, but it's just annoying to have to continue to try to connect with it repeatedly doing that. I read somewhere that it probably won't do that with the Minecraft Multiplayer Server update 1.0.1, but I think I only have 1.0.0, because when I run the server, it says "Starting Minecraft Server Version 1.0.0". I've been looking everywhere for the 1.0.1, especially on the main Minecraft.net site, but I the only available server downloads are the .exe and the .jar, and there are no 1.0.0 or 1.0.1 specifications. Where can I download the 1.0.1 for my server so I can test and see if I have this problem anymore?

Much appreciated to anyone who can help a novice server host.

EDIT: Problem solved about the gamemode; I failed and forgot I could change my own individually. I would still like to know about the 1.0.1 though.
