do ya think minetown should add mods like smartmoves or shields mod?

Do you understand the difficulty of installing mods like that to a server? Not only is it a pain if the mod can't utilize the mods folder (since that would mean it's modifying the core class files), but since we're running Bukkit, the mod has to be written to be compatible with Bukkit. Also, every single person who plays on the server would need to install the mod on their client. Seems you don't fully understand this, because it's complicated at the moment. Until the mod API is released, single player mods that work on multiplayer without the need for every person to have the mod are limited to Spout, which we don't have on the main server because it is currently unstable.
