Well i personally never seem to get an answer, or much help whilst talking in regular chat. I guess this is partially because the chat bar can scroll by very fast. I also think its because everyones white text color blends in and becomes easy to miss.

I don't see how adding a color to global chat will fix this... then everybody else's text will be that color too... If you want to draw attention to yourself, go donate and get a colored name.

This is what I was afraid of. You dont seem to know what I am trying to get fixed. When I ask for help in trade chat I get someone to actually see my text because its nice and orange. The plain white text blendas in, and diseapears. I'm pretty sure bright pink or ice blue text color would be very easy to see clearly in chat, even with everyone's color being the same.

If someone walks into a best buy looking for help and, possible a buy, does the section with old, broken monitors' seem fun and enjoyable, or the new, colorful, LED, Tv monitors with Geeksquad support?

I understand exactly what you are getting at, but do you really think chat would be easier to read if it was all light blue? It all scrolls at the same speed and I think it would blend into the background more often then white. If people don't answer you its either because you A) asked a dumb question B) asked a question that no one knows the answer to 3) people don't exactly care.

Asking a question in global is hit or miss anyway, just know who to ask... I, for instance, am willing to help anyone who grabs my attention.

Also, if you have trouble seeing chat I recommend:

A) Improved Chat, a mod that modifies chat to allow scrolling and setting background opacity

B) A texture pack that modifies the font of the game. I recommend Sphax PureBDCraft

chat color is a horrible idea....

it will make it imposible to see things in game, especially for mods. if you have trouble reading text, get the improvedchatmod

ive played on games where ythey have colors for ranks and it just makes everythign jumbled and harder to follow

Yeah if I knew there were so many mods for this i wouldn't have made the Poll, sorry guys :/
