I've joined this server and look forward to building, mining and meeting people along the way.

Although I have read the rules I am still left a bit confused.

MY chat seems limited and I can't contact help in-game. I also can't seem to edit anything in the wilderness.

Is there a waiting period for my application approval?

welcome aboard

applications take anywhere from 1 minute to 48 hours. however mods are well behaved, so its usally about 4 - 12 hours.

in the mean time, you can go in guest world to build yourself a stockpile of resources so you can get a headstart by typing /warp gwspawn in game and then /kit boat and swimming to some land.
