[Enjin Archive] Gettin back to the question: How much RAM does the Server have?
Started by [E] Nyu

Hey guys

So, I would like to refer to the question that was postet a couple of times this year:

How much RAM does this Server have at the moment?

Ive read in some post that sawine mentioned sth about 98gb?

Then again if that were so, I wouldn't be seeing players glitchin around and blocks reappearing after mining them away

So here comes the next question: : What processor(s) are you guys using? <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f62f.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=""></object>

I don't know how much ram we use, but we use one of the intel xeon processors, and we lag for a couple reasons:

1. Tons of players on

2. DDOS attacks every once in a while

3. Dev bukkit and outdated plugins.
The server does have 96gb of ram but you have to remember that we have multiple processes running on the server so not all of the ram is assigned to the main server.
So how much RAm is assigned to just the server then?
Just to clarify. Minecraft SMP mainly runs slowly, not because of the CPU involved is alot, because it requires a fast connection. Minecraft also uses TCP, which from my research, runs significantly slower than UDP, because it implements reliability.
