if youre on wondows.....make a batch file for minecraft. create a text file and type this... javaw -Xmx700M -Xms700M -jar "minecraft.exe" you can replace the 700m with what ever amount of ram you want to give MC then save as the file as runminecraft.bat. and to run MC click the batch file. this wont fix your con but might give you more fps

So far all I did was clean everything off my computer and make it OOB (Out-Of-Box) so it is much quicker and I love it
