Recently guest chat was separated from "global" to keep guests and members from driving each other batty (at least the real reason is thereabouts). If you have the petition commands available, do one requesting help in-game: /pe new {message}. I believe this is something an admin will have to take care of, so you will need a bit of patience. If the petition system is still unavailable for you, an admin will eventually see this thread.

Once your access to Global is granted, it is the main chat channel for members. You will be able to set "focus" on it by doing /ch g
