[Enjin Archive] Rapture!
Started by [E] CruxMaximus

Hello Minetown!

I have started to make a majestic city (or at least a part of it). For those of you who have played either Bioshock or Bioshock 2, you will know what rapture is. Put simply, New York. Underwater. At the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. Anyways, the city is meant to be a minecraft recreation of the city and to an extent, the games. So if you would like to be involved, just comment on this here thread or contact me in-game. Progress is slow, as there is a one man workforce. Due to extremely shallow oceans, the terrain must be manually excavated Any helpers get free reign over what they build when the major building have been completed. Their buildings should be something 50s Esque. Factions may have an embassy in the city.

Here is a list of important Buildings needed to be completed(will be updated):

Central bathesphere dock (Where the warp will be located) -> This needs Gold and Iron blocks, please donate!

Haepsteus Thermal power station (Lots of lava + water)

Central plaza (Large area that can have shops built in either side of it)

Thanks for reading,

C_T

I still havent opened that game
You should! It's fun!
Bump.

I would like some people to respond?
Isn't a rapture an upcoming event where all of God's believers go to heaven and the unbelievers stay on Earth where a 7 year war rages on between God and the devil? XD

Definition from wikipidia:

The rapture is a reference to the "being caught up" referred to in 1 Thessalonians 4:17, when the "dead in Christ" and "we who are alive and remain" will be caught up in the clouds to meet "the Lord".

The term "rapture" is used in at least two senses in modern traditions of Christian eschatology; in pre-tribulationist views, in which a group of people will be "left behind", and as a synonym for the final resurrection generally.

There are many views among Christians regarding the timing of Christ's return (including whether it will occur in one event or two), and various views regarding the destination of the aerial gathering described in 1 Thessalonians 4. Some denominations, such as Roman Catholics (as described in the Catechism of the Catholic Church 676 and 677) and Orthodox Christians, do not accept the doctrine at all, but affirm the Resurrection to be the "catching away". The rapture theory was largely developed by American evangelists from the 17th century onwards, although some Catholics had espoused similar ideas before.
