Ok. Ive heard ALOT of rumors about whats going to happen, when the server gets updated to 1.9. Can someone set the record straight? Here are my questions:

I KNOW there are going to be 2 main worlds, BUT I don't know:

-Will the 2nd main world be a COPY of the CURRENT world, just 1.9, or will it be BRAND NEW?

Thats my only question, BUT if you have more info to share, please do.

Ok. Any other info you have that you can share? Like: Will it eventually become the main world? and will the CURRENT world remain 1.8 forever? And when is 1.9 going to happen? Thanks Sawine

1.9 aka Minecraft 1.0 will be released on Nov 18th.

Compatibility between 1.8 and 1.9 map files has not been confirmed yet, but as every other updates, they should still be compatible.

The new world will eventually become "more principal" than the current one, but that should take few weeks.

The current world will be updated to 1.9 too. As usual, around a week or so after the release, bukkit and plugins should be ready for the update.
